So, here it is, my page dedicated to The Dale Von Minaker Band,
which I trust they will approve of.
Who are they?
The Dale Von Minaker Band are a Kidderminster-based band, consisting of my singer-songwriter friend Dale, who also plays guitar and piano. He is undoubtedly a man of many talents, and actually started out learning to play the drums, and very good he was at it too (in my opinion). At school, Dale often spent his lunch hour happily shut away in the music room, and I was so impressed by his drum playing skills that I once asked him if he would teach me how to play. Although he kindly agreed, nothing ever came of it. In hindsight, this is perhaps just as well, considering that my sense of rhythm is more-or-less non-existent.
Over the years, Dale has been involved with other bands, as well as performing solo. He was a semi-finalist in the YouBloom international song-writing contest, but missed out on the grand-final. Rather than wallowing in self-pity, Dale joined forces with talented musicians Gaz Gibbons (bass), and Steve Smith (drums), resulting in the creation of The Dale Von Minaker Band.

To date, The DVM Band has made two of their tracks available for
download, in a variety of different formats. The good news is that people
wishing to purchase the tracks (via a link on the band's website to Bandcamp) can name their own price. I seem to recall the
group Radiohead doing similar when
they released The Best of
Radiohead, which proved to be an extremely effective marketing tactic. I opted to pay via
PayPal for both tracks. In addition to the receipts from PayPal, I
received confirmation e-mails via the band from Bandcamp, thanking me for
my purchase. For UK residents without a PayPal account, payment can be made by:
- Mastercard/Eurocard
- Visa/Delta/Electron
- Discover
- American Express
- UK Maestro

The debut single This Summer was released in June 2012. In addition to being made available for purchase via the band's website, it can also be purchased through iTunes.

Less than a month later, the band released Jackie Let Go, available to purchase via the website, and also iTunes.
You can listen to full-length versions of the band’s songs via the music player located on the right-hand side of the page. If you like what you hear, please show your support by buying their music. Oh, and do check out the band’s website!
The DVM Band will soon be releasing their debut album You Are Here, on Horsefair Records (their own independent recording label). This will be accompanied with a launch party at the Cock and Magpie pub in Bewdley, Worcestershire. Hot off the press is the news that BBC Hereford and Worcester (radio) will be in attendance.
Sincere thanks to The Dale Von
Minaker Band, Natalija Rnic and Jason Feather for kindly permitting me to display their album artwork on this page.
