Many years ago, I saw a fortnightly publication advertised on television, called Needlecraft Magic. Although I had previously dabbled in cross-stitch, I considered myself a novice. Anyway, I started collecting the Needlecraft Magic series, and instead of stitching items aimed beginners, I threw myself into stitching items aimed at more experienced stitchers.
